The Role of the Risk Manager in Mergers & Acquisitions​
 

Although stakeholders may consider the news of a merger great news for risk professionals is may signal a different reaction. Risk professionals must be prepared to help guide their organizations through the complexities of these deals and the frantic transition time period in which two entities become one.

This presentation will explore the role the risk management professional plays in the merger and acquisition process.

Speakers: 

 

Adam Sheipe : Until he recently worked himself out of job by helping to orchestrate the 10B acquisition of CSRA by General Dynamics in April, Adam Sheipe was the VP and Head of Corporate Development for CSRA.   Adam lead the organization responsible for sourcing, analyzing, valuing, negotiating and integrating CSRA’s acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and related strategic transactions.  He has completed over 50 strategic transactions on five continents with an aggregate value of over $22 billion.

 

Craig Warnke is Managing Director in the Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions group within the FINPRO practice of Marsh. Craig is an expert in the field of transactional risk insurance, responsible for advising clients on representations and warranties insurance, tax insurance and other insurance products addressing contingent liabilities encountered on M&A deals. Craig is also involved in the development of dedicated insurance products that facilitate mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

 

Anna Rozin is a Senior M&A Underwriter at AIG, where she underwrites transactional insurance products, including representations and warranties insurance.  Prior to joining AIG, Anna was an associate at Ropes & Gray, LLP in the firm’s Private Equity group, advising private investment firms, corporations and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, restructurings and general corporate matters. 

We’ll start off this panel discussion with some questions for Adam.  Please feel free to jump in and ask questions at any time.  And speakers feel free to add on or join in at any time.
