Bio

Andrew Steggles is the Chief Information Officer for the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) in New York City. RIMS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management, a professional discipline that protects physical, financial, and human resources. Mr. Steggles is also a board member of NYSAE and is the President of the not-for-profit Social Networking and Media Association (www.SNAMA.org).

Mr. Steggles spends his spare time innovating and building social collaboration and Web 2.0 products. He is the author of some well known search engine tools such as "sitePRTracker.com” a Performance Measurement Tool for Google's Page Ranking System and CopyTester.com which calculates the value of content based on its uniqueness.

After 9 years serving in the British Royal Navy, Mr. Steggles joined “The Mortgage Operation, Plc” and lead the creation of the UK’s first online mortgage processing system. Seven years ago he then moved to New York where he joined RIMS as their head of IT and Records Management.

In his spare time he also owns and runs a vacation rental home website which has over 200,000 pages of mostly user-generated content: www.holidayhomerental.co.uk
