Elizabeth (Betty) Clarke
Risk Manager and Business Continuity Coordinator, City of St. John’s
Betty Clarke serves as the risk manager and business continuity coordinator for the City of St. John's.
Betty joined the City of St. John’s in 2005 as risk manager and accepted the additional role of business continuity coordinator in 2006. Her previous senior management positions include that of Risk Manager for Fishery Products International and Vice President of Underwriting and Administration with the Insurance Corporation of Newfoundland/ Anthony Insurance.
Over the years Betty remains actively involved with a number of industry committees and organizations. She is a past president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Risk Management Society as well as a Past President of the Insurance Institute of Newfoundland and Labrador. She is also currently Vice Chair with the Risk Canada Council and RCC Liiason with the National Education Committee of RIMS.
Ms. Clarke attended Memorial University completing courses in Business Administration. She is a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) as well as as a Canadian Risk Managment Professional (CRM).
