The RIMS Quality Advisory Council guides the promotion of the Quality Partnership Builder and evaluates issues critical to advancing quality for the risk management and commercial insurance industry. The QAC provides content advice and counsel on the development of future quality tools, marketing plan materials and educational content as required, to ensure that RIMS is positioned to take a leadership role in the advancement of quality in the risk management and commercial insurance industry. The QAC evaluates issues critical to advancing quality for the risk management and commercial insurance industry and advises the RIMS Board of Directors on recommended action. The QAC is responsible for the annual review selection of the Arthur Quern Quality Award recipient(s). Time commitment is approximately one in-person meeting per year at the RIMS Office, one 2-hour business meeting held at RIMS Annual Conference, and four to six one-hour conference calls. Travel is required for the in-person meetings. This committee requires a commitment to quality in risk management and the ability to think outside the box. Experience in quality management concepts, team building, and process improvement tools is desirable.
