Eric Benson is a successful strategy and risk management professional with nearly 20 years experience developing and leading a wide variety of operational, strategic, and enterprise risk management projects in some of the largest global companies in the world. These include Allianz, ING Group, Thomson Reuters and UnitedHealth Group. Mr. Benson earned his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 2005 from the Insurance Institute of America. He has been an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society since 2000 and served on its Enterprise Risk Development Committee from 2005-2008 as a founding member. In that capacity, he is an acknowledged contributor to ERM for Dummies Guide and a co-author of RIMS Risk Maturity Model. Mr. Benson’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Luther College in Decorah, IA. Additionally, he attained his Masters of Business Administration with dual concentrations in Risk & Insurance Management and Finance from the University of St. Thomas – Opus College of Business in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
