Stéphane Cossette is retired. He was senior Director, Risk Management of Quebecor Media Inc. untill 2021.
He began his career in 1991 as an insurance underwriter. After ten years, Stéphane joined a large brokerage firm specialized in risk management. He later became a Risk Manager to return as an insurance broker a few years later. His come-back to a Risk Manager’s position is the materialization of his vision that the risk management team of a company includes all providers who work together on the same mission.
Stéphane was a member QRIMA’s Board from 2001 to 2003 as Treasurer. He rejoined the board in the same position in 2011.
Stéphane holds a Bcomm. in Finance / Applied Economics from HEC Montreal and a Certificate from UQAM in Insurance studies, he obtained the title of Associate then Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada. He also earned the designation of CRM from RIMS.
