Rob Gould is the Director, Internal Audit at Harley-Davidson, Inc. He is responsible for providing internal audit assurance and advisory services worldwide. He works closely with the external auditors to assess SOX/financial reporting risks and controls. Rob directs a staff of 15 auditors and provides audit coverage for all H-D locations. An executive with over 20 years experience in internal audit and risk management. I have developed internal audit organizations at two Fortune 500 companies. I have significant international experience, having overseen audits in Europe, Asia and Latin America using both in-house and outsourced audit partners. I lead the development of the enterprise risk management program including: - Developing the risk management infrastructure, policies, and training - Strategic risk mapping to ensure identification and management of risk across the company - Risk management integration within the business planning process and executive review meetings - Creation of risk dashboards, risk appetite, and monitoring activities for the executives and board - Responsible for leadership of the Business Continuity Function and ensuring continuity and recovery capabilities I’ve held leadership positions in several professional organizations, including president of the Milwaukee IIA chapter and chair of the MAPI Internal Audit Director Council. I hold several certifications including; CPA, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, and Certified in Risk Management Assurance. My educational background includes Bachelor’s and MBA degrees at Indiana University. Prior to joining Harley-Davidson, Rob was an Associate Director with Protiviti. Prior to Protiviti he was a Senior Manager in the Business Process Risk Consulting of Arthur Andersen in Milwaukee. Prior industry experience includes 8 years as a Senior Audit Manager at Whirlpool Corporation.
