Mark A. DeLillo, ARM
Mark A. DeLillo is Director, Risk Management for Taylor Morrison, Inc., (fka Taylor Woodrow, Inc.) a major homebuilding and land development company based in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition he serves as President of Beneva Indemnity Company, Taylor Morrison's Verrmont domiciled captive insurer and as President of Taylor Woodrow Insurance Services, Inc, the firm's in-house retail insurance agency. Prior to joining Taylor Woodrow he was Vice President of Hobbs Group, LLC in Tampa, Florida, a position he assumed in April 2001. Prior to Hobbs, he was a Senior Vice-President, Risk Management Practice for Aon Risk Services Inc. of Florida in Tampa. Prior to Aon, Mark spent seventeen years in senior corporate risk management positions most recently as Vice President, Risk Management for Celotex Corporation, a Tampa, FL based manufacturer of building materials.
Prior to joining Celotex, DeLillo served as Vice President, Risk Management Services and Director, Property/Casualty Insurance for Jim Walter Corporation, former parent company of Celotex; Manager of Risk Management for Jack Eckerd Corporation (Eckerd Drugs) and Claim Supervisor for Travelers Insurance Company.
An active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) since 1983, Mr. DeLillo served as President of RIMS in 1998-99 and has held such positions as local chapter president and society director and nationally as Vice President-Health and Safety, Vice President-Membership and Chapter Services and Secretary, Vice President-International, Vice President-Long Range Planning.
and First Vice President of RIMS Executive Council.
DeLillo is also involved in numerous community and professional activities. He previously served on the Board of the Gulf Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America and as Chairman of the Board of Tampa Bay Harvest. He is also Past President, Executive Committee Chair and Board Member of the Westshore (Tampa) Alliance. Other prior affiliations include: member of the school board at Tampa Catholic High School, board member of the Alliance for Modern Transit and Liveable Communities, member of the National Client Advisory Council of Gates McDonald, board member of the Quality Insurance Congress, and member of the AIG Risk Management Advisory Board.
Mark was selected as "2006 Team Member of the Year" for Taylor Woodrow, Inc.
Mr. DeLillo is recognized as a National Faculty Member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research where he is an instructor in the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) curriculum and has been a frequent lecturer at various industry seminars.
He earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. He received the Casualty Claim Law Associate designation and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the Insurance Institute of America. He also holds a Casualty & Property Producer License in Arizona as well as non-resident agent licenses in California, Florida and Texas and Florida Adjusters license-520.
Mark resides in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife, Deeda.
