Sean has operated as a risk management entrepreneur and innovator for more than 20 years. He has earned his unique expertise and insight through his career journey. From his roots of prior military and consulting to owning his own risk management consulting firm for over 12 years, he brings the expertise needed survive and thrive in today’s risk environments to BDO.
Sean counsels executives and boards on how to build risk programs that protect their people, products, and profits that shape truly great organizations. To thrive in today’s global landscape, Sean combines cognitive and behavioral science, military models, storytelling, and a variety of risk methodologies to customize how companies understand, manage, and leverage risk.
Sean’s mission is to continually innovate risk management through science, learning, and technology. What worked in the past for risk manager, may not today. He takes an entrepreneur approach to risk programs by transforming them from a compliance driven and project focus program to running it like a business. This transformational change elevates risk manager in their organization and promotes self-sustaining initiatives.
As Managing Director of BDO’s Crisis Management and Business Continuity practice, Sean is responsible for the practice’s growth, innovation, and success.
