Robert Zhang started his career with Willis Group in the US and, since, has gained valuable experience in many areas of risk management. In 2007, Robert moved to Shanghai and joined Willis newly established China joint venture. During this era, Robert has held many managerial positions in the company including establishing one of the country’s first Global China Practice by helping many Chinese companies manage their international risk profiles. Since 2010, Robert took his professional journey to corporate risk management and has held strategic and key advisory positions for several Fortune 500 companies China/Asia Pacific investment portfolio. Robert is currently the Head of Risk Management and Compliance in IKEA China with responsibilities covering the company’s Enterprise & Operational Risk Management, Compliance & Internal Control, Ethics Program, Information Security & Data Privacy, Audit, and Insurance Management. He also serves as a member in IKEA China Management Team and a Director on the Board for RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) since January 2015. Passionate about teaching, since 2016, Robert also guest-lectures about Enterprise Risk Management at Peking University School of Economics.
