As the Director of Risk Management for Whirlpool, Scot Schwarting brings with him fifteen (15) years of progressive risk management experience. Formally the Assistant Vice President of Insurance at OSI Industries, Scot was responsible for risk management, insurance and loss prevention globally. His overall responsibilities included the identification, evaluation, analysis and control of hazard, financial and operational risk exposures for the OSI Group. At Whirlpool, Scot is responsible for the company’s efforts to embed Enterprise Risk Management into corporate strategy. Identification and alignment of risks with strategic planning allows for a robust mitigation of volatility and the opportunity to identify and engage emerging risks.
Scot received his Bachelors of Science Degree from North Central College and received his MBA from North Park University.
Personal Information: Scot enjoys spending his time away from work with his wife Chantana and five-year-old son, Charlie. Scot is an avid reader who enjoys running, cooking and entertaining friends and family.
