Bio
Denice LeVasseur is a trial and appellate attorney who specializes in defending employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims in Michigan. She is past Vice Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Council of the State Bar of Michigan and serves on the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, the Board of Governors and the Health & Human Services Committee. Denice is the legislative liason for RIMS (Risk Insurance Management Society) Detroit Chapter. Denice is a member of Michigan Self Insurers’ Association and MIPRIMA and is a fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.
Denice’s goals are 1) to improve the workers’ compensation system to make Michigan a more attractive location for businesses, 2) pass CMS Reform legislation to reduce the amount of delay in the system caused by Medicare, and 3) make Michigan more attractive to captives so that our Michigan based companies can have their captives in their home state.
