Elizabeth Guimaraes, MBA, ARM, LHCRM is the Director, Risk Management for Nova Southeastern University, where she administers and manages the institution’s captive and multiple insurance programs. She has worked in the field of risk management for over 25 years. She has held insurance and risk management positions in a wide variety of industries, including: insurance claims, international entertainment, bio-medical, insurance brokerage, heavy equipment rental, municipal and law enforcement. She holds an MBA and BBA in Finance from Florida International University. She recently earned Licensure as a Health Care Risk Manager. Elizabeth is also the current President of the Risk and Insurance Management Society Broward County Chapter. She has completed 11 half marathons, 3 marathons and 1 Disney Goofy Challenge.
