Bio

Gilbert Rosoff has worked in the insurance industry for his entire career.

He started with the Hartford Insurance Company in Commercial Lines Underwriting with rapid promotions and success in developing new agents and new employees.
After a few years, he left to enter the brokering area dealing with moderate sized to large sized commercial clients; including a number of years as a Reinsurance Broker. During this time he started to instruct Insurance classes for the Insurance Educational Association in California.

Later, he worked at Jardine Insurance Brokers with large commercial & personal accounts. When the market hardened in the early 80’s, he joined the Engineered Risk Dept. of INA Special Risk dealing with bridges, buildings under construction, contractor’s equipment and hi-rise office buildings. He then rejoined the Hartford as an Executive Underwriter for very large commercial accounts.

In 1996, Gilbert began consulting: staff training in underwriting and marketing for moderate sized Agents & Brokers, marketing for Excess & Surplus Lines Brokers; reviewing and analyzing insurance programs; as well as teaching the California Department of Insurance required Pre-Licensing class for all applicants for a Property & Casualty license, and facilitating classes for the Risk and Insurance Management Society in various cities nationwide.

He is an active member of the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators as well as RIMS.
