Airport:
Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is the nearest airport to Park City.
Rental Car:
All major rental agencies are represented at Salt Lake International Airport — most are on-site. The Park City Marriott is approximately 36 miles from the airport. This is a fairly easy drive with few twists and turns. In good weather the drive from the airport to Park City takes approximately 45 minutes. Because this is a canyon road, plan on slowing down and taking a little longer in rain or snow conditions.
Shuttle:
There are many Airport/Park City shuttles available ranging in price from $30-$45 per person, depending on the type of vehicle you request. Allresort.com and parkcityshuttle.com both offer shuttle information.
Taxi:
Taxi service is available at the airport. Typical fare to Park City is approximately $75.00
Weather/Climate:
At 6,900 feet Park City experiences cold, snowy winters and pleasant summers. The snow begins to fall in earnest by November and is usually melted by June. Fall is a beautiful time of year in Park City. The mountains are splashed with color from the changing foliage and the air is cool. Fall temperatures can range between 65 and 55 for a high and between 37 and 28 for a low. Snow this early in the year is rare, but a light dusting is always a possibility.
Dress/Attire:
Attire at the conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures do vary, usually somewhere between freezing and sweltering. We will do our best to make our meeting rooms as comfortable as possible, but please be sure to bring along a jacket or sweater ? just in case.

The Yarro Hotel. People can simply call the hotel at 435-649-7000 and ask for the RIMS Conference $79 rate and the preferred room. The hotel address is 1800 Park Avenue, Park City, Utah. The Yarro Hotel is about 1/2 mile distant from the Marriott and the closest full-service hotel.

Carriage House: For those that wish to stay at the Marriott on Sunday and Monday nights, you have the option to move to the Carriage House (next door) for Tuesday night (assuming the Marriott remains booked for that night). The Carriage House is not a full-service hotel, but is a group of condominiums that are rented. Since it is right next to the Marriott, people can stay there that one night and use the Marriott for all services (most meals, etc will be provided by the conference anyway).
