Registration is now open to join your peers for our annual DEL VAL RIMS business meeting and election of the Board of Directors. We would like to also say thank you to our members for their support during this most interesting past year.
We will have a special event immediately following the conclusion of the Business Meeting. Beginning at 4:00 pm we will be joined by Chef Nok for a Thai cooking lesson. Chef Nok Suntaranon, owner of Philadelphia’s acclaimed Kalaya Thai Kitchen is set on staying true to the integrity of authentic Thai cuisine. Growing up in Trang, she would help her mother blend the curry and shrimp paste that she would sell in the village market. After moving to the States, she attended the French Culinary Institute in NYC. She interned at Jean-Georges’ Nougatine also in NYC and worked at Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia before opening Kalaya in 2019. Craig LaBan from The Inquirer rated the restaurant 3 Bells. Philadelphia Magazine awarded Chef Nok “Best of Philly- Best Chef 2020”. James Beard named Kalaya a finalist for their “Best New Restaurant 2020” award. Most recently, Esquire named Kalya #1 on the list of the “23 Best New Restaurants in America”.
We will be providing an ingredient box delivered to you prior to the event so that you can prepare the meal alongside Chef Nok. The kit will contain everything you will need except protein which you may add at your choice.
The meeting date is Thursday, May 13, and we will begin with the business meeting including the election of the Board of Directors at 3:00 pm, followed by the special event at 4:00. We expect to conclude shortly after 5:00 pm. The meeting link will be provided to you prior to the meeting.
You must also reply to firstname.lastname@example.org with your shipping address where you can receive perishable food items, so that the ingredient box can be sent for the event.
Please note that registration for this meeting will close on April 27, 2021 to allow for mailing time and prompt receipt of the kit.
