Every year millions of workers report having been victims of workplace violence.   All organizations are vulnerable and workplace violence can happen anywhere.  Tragically, active shooter incidents seem to be occurring more frequently.  Workplace violence incidents are unpredictable and can escalate quickly into devastating situations.  Claims filed against employers in these situations may include negligent hiring and retention, hostile work environment, failure to train, and other types of negligence.
