New and unique situations are creating new topics for cyber risk transfer discussions. Advances in extortion techniques, theft of funds by way of theft of information and cyber business interruption involving “bricking” have created claims where more than one policy is being asked to respond. Insurance markets are involved in their own dialogue on where and who should be providing coverage. Coverage answers come down to very specific policy provisions in cyber, crime, K&R and property programs. This session aims to create a spirited dialogue between insurance buyers, brokers, underwriters and attorneys with a view to providing practical takeaways for creating greater certainty.
