PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS (Agenda to follow closer to event)

Thursday, June 5 – Session 1: Kenneth Cowie (Forensic Engineer | CEP Forensic)

Topic: Collision Reconstruction with Real-Life Examples

This presentation will explain what collision reconstruction is, who the various stakeholders are, the common issues (collisions) they are faced with and how it is done. We'll obtain a stronger understanding of the various types and sources of evidence we use, including from the crash sites and the vehicles, and also cover autonomous vehicles and the latest we are experiencing.

Thursday, June 5 – Session 2:  Bethany Barrese (Partner | Saxe Doernberger & Vita, P.C)

Topic: Everything a Risk Manager Needs to Know about Risk Transfer and Additional Insured Coverage

This presentation will include a discussion of the latest developments in anti-indemnity statutes and the interpretation of additional insured endorsements, and will focus on providing solutions to common risk transfer challenges. Attendees will receive guidance for identifying risk transfer issues and ensuring that contractual indemnity and insurance obligations are satisfied.

Friday, June 6 – Session 3: Bill Warren (Forensic Accounting Expert | Sigma7)

Topic: Business Interruption 360º - Integration with BCP, Risk Control, and improved claims outcomes

We'll explore the commonly misunderstood parts including labor and extra expenses, and how they factor into a time element claim. We’ll talk about the difference between straight BI allocations and Value at Risk.  We'll also dive into the emerging complexities of Contingent Business Interruption and other complex areas. A 360º perspective wouldn't be complete without tackling business interruption values and get better results at renewal.
