Nick Luebesmier has been with Superpedestrian Inc as Director, Insurance since September 2021. He is responsible for the global risk financing/alternative risk transfer program and claims management process.
Nick began his career in insurance in 2008 as a claims examiner with Sedgwick CMS handling general liability, property damage and druggist liability claims on a dedicated account. In May of 2011, Nick left Sedgwick CMS and joined Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. where he handled the high exposure, complex, and catastrophic litigated and non-litigated claims on a dedicated client account. In February 2014, Nick took on the Risk Insurance Program Administrator for UMPhysicians. He was responsible for managing and administering corporate-wide risk transfer objectives by managing activities related to risk management, contractual review process, and all lines of UMPhysicians insurance policies. Nick ws the Co-Chair of UMPhysicians Safety Committee, Chair of the BCM Steering Committee, and was involved in Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit initiatives. The Dart Network / Dart Transit Company was the Director of Insurance and Claims from June 2018 - September 2021. He was responsible for the risk financing/alternative risk transfer program, health and benefits, and oversees the operations of an insurance claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Nick received his B.A.Sc. from the University of Phoenix with a concentration in International Business Management and Finance, and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Financial Management from Benedictine University in 2018.
