Prior to his retirement in June 2020, Chris was Vice President of Risk Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Indirect Procurement at Rite Aid Corporation based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. There he led the teams responsible for all risk finance and risk control functions including insurance placement for all lines of coverage, self-administered casualty claim operations, first party claim resolution and the safety and environmental compliance programs. Additional responsibilities included coordination of the Company’s environmental social and governance sustainability programs, and leading the team responsible for the negotiation and contracting of all corporate goods and services.
Chris moved to Rite Aid in 2014 from Bentonville, Arkansas where he was Sr. Director of Safety for Walmart Stores. There he led the teams responsible for development and implementation of loss control and OSHA compliance strategies for all US retail operations.
Prior to joining Walmart, Chris was Assistant Vice president of Risk Management at Pathmark Stores, Inc. In Carteret, NJ where he led their self-insured, self-administered workers compensation and general liability claim programs, and their risk finance, risk control and regulatory compliance programs.
Chris graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and holds Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
