Elliott Long is an Enterprise Risk Management Consultant at Aflac, where he focuses primarily on strategic and operational risk management for the Aflac US business. During his time at Aflac, Elliott has co-created and implemented Aflac US's Strategic Risk Program, which includes a framework designed to evaluate strategic risks holistically across the organization and embed risk into strategic decision-making. Prior to joining Aflac, Elliott was a consultant at Deloitte in its Business Risk practice. In addition to his current role at Aflac, Elliott serves on ISO's Technical Committee 262 focused on Risk Management, the Institute of Risk Management's ERM in Insurance Special Interest Group, and the RIMS Rising Risk Professionals Advisory Group. Elliott holds the PMP and RIMS-CRMP certifications and a Finance degree from the University of Georgia.Elliott has had the opportunity to speak at multiple risk management conferences hosted by RIMS as well as the North Carolina State University Enterprise Risk Management Initiative. Additionally, Elliott's work has been published in the Risk Management Magazine. In 2021, Elliott received the RIMS Rising Star Award.
