    In this role, you will provide support to the department director regarding all aspects of corporate insurance programs and risk strategies. You will monitor and report any operational and strategic risks to protect the organizational objectives.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist Director of Risk Management with insurance renewals
    • Assists in the management of a variety of insured and self-insured risks
    • Assists with coordination of information from outside entities and internal customers for legal, surety, and other issues
    • Compiles and maintains various databases and schedules to facilitate monthly reports/statistics for internal and external customers
    • Maintains various databases including but not restricted to waivers and claims
    • Assists in coordinating medical care and work schedule to leverage resources to minimize claim expenses
    • Establishes a network of medical facilities for a new location as requested
    • Creates monthly/ semi-annual reports and other statistical reports for distribution
    • Create a great customer service culture
    • Review subcontractor insurance documents for compliance with a subcontract
    • Perform routine clerical duties such as setting up new files, maintaining data files
    • Coordinate certificates of insurance

    Education/Experience:

    • College education or equivalent is required
    • 3-4 years of insurance experience with 1-2 years of claim management preferred
    • Risk management degree may be utilized in place of experience

    Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

    • Ability to make decisions based on risk profile and organizational objectives.
    • Ability to use personal experience to make judgment decisions to support the risk management division in daily activities and in the director’s absence.
    • Establish goals of “excellency” in work product and the ability to constantly strive toward that goal. 
    • Proficiency in various software systems including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent communication skills required – both verbal and written
    • Some travel required

    Please join us on June 14th at Epping Forest Yacht Club for the second Chapter lunch meeting of the year. 

    Doors open at 11:30 AM and lunch will be served around noon, followed by chapter business and speakers John Schulz and Rosie O'Neilll from Origami Risk, will discuss "Is the Good Enough, Enough? Championing the Intersection of Risk, Governance, and ESG." 

    Look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming meeting.
