Welcome to Northeast Ohio RIMS!

The Chapter has been serving the needs of the widely diversified northeast Ohio risk management community since the late 1950's. Formerly named the Cleveland-Akron chapter, we are part of the North Central Region of RIMS. Through chapter sponsored activities, we provide our members with an invaluable local peer resource for risk management information.

Northeast Ohio RIMS holds monthly, education-oriented chapter meetings September through June at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center - Cleveland South/Independence. Topics cover a broad range of subjects that affect our industries and provide members with an opportunity for professional development and networking.

Northeast Ohio RIMS also sponsors several annual events, including a Holiday program (December), Education Day (March), and a Golf Charity event (June).

Presentation:    Compensation Coverage for Workers Overseas

This presentation will describe several areas of exposure and pertinent insurance treatments pertaining to employees working outside the United States. The main elements include:

¨              Overview of Compensation Coverage options for employees working and traveling overseas.

¨              Overview of Foreign Voluntary Workers Compensation and program options.

¨              Overview of Kidnap and Ransom coverages

¨              Employer's Liability and the growing trend to provide for all employee classes

¨              Interaction of all these coverages and how to ensure seamless protection for employees

¨              The importance of Travel and Medical Assist services
