Mitch Aucoin is Vice President, Insurance responsible for managing Marriott's global insurance programs, including strategy, negotiation and procurement. Mitch joined Marriott in 2001 and has served in a variety of capacities within the Insurance Department. He has coordinated and managed insurance programs for complex global projects, including; coal processing plants, stevedoring operations, marine bulk-transport, tilt-correction, and under-excavation. Prior to Marriott, Mitch served 5 years as Insurance Manager for Tidewater Inc., a multinational offshore supply service leader with operations in 17 countries where he managed one of the industry's first blended finite marine programs. He also served in the banking industry for 5 years with various responsibilities, including credit analysis in the Private Client Services area. Mitch holds an MBA with Finance concentration from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of New Orleans with an Insurance Concentration, and he holds the Risk Insurance Management Society's Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) designation.
