Eva LaBonte currently serves as the Assistant Director of Support Services at Washington County, Oregon, the second largest County in the state. She manages the Risk Management, Human Resources, Employee Benefits and Leave Management and Emergency Management Divisions. Her Risk Management team manages liability claims, workers' compensation, insuring the County with a large self-insured retention, environmental health & safety and contract review. Previously, Eva was the Workers' Compensation Program Manager at NIKE, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon, where her focus is proactively managing claims around the world as well as loss prevention and Risk Management technology. She also worked in Global Operational Risk Management at NIKE, where her focus was Environmental Safety and Health, loss prevention, contract review, technology, event risk management and driver safety. She has also worked at several other organizations managing workers' compensation, EHS, wellness program, employee benefits and property, liability and employment claims management. Eva has earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development and a BA in Business Management and Psychology as well as her Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and she is an instructor for the ARM 54 Risk Assessment course. Eva serves on the National RIMS Stands and Practices Council and is the President of the Oregon Public Entity Excess Pool.
