Scott graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 1991 with Bachelor of Arts Degrees is Political Science and History. Scott has also obtained his Associate in Risk Management designation, and is one of the first class of RIMS-CRMP designation holders. Scott has thirty-one years of experience in the Insurance and Risk Management Industry, which started in 1991 in the Emergency Medical/Ambulance industry. He has held risk management positions in a number of industries, including transportation, multi-disciplinary engineering and construction, stevedoring, theaters, shopping malls, and property development and management. He currently is employed with Kilroy Realty Corporation, serving as their Vice President, Risk Management, where he is responsible for all matters risk management. Kilroy owns, operates and develops Class A commercial office buildings and mixed-use properties, and currently maintains a three person Risk Management Department, which may continue to grow over time. Scott currently is President of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chapter of RIMS, serving since 1999. He has served as Chair of the Membership and Chapter Engagement Committee for the RIMS Society, and currently serves on the Student Advisory Committee. He also serves on Sompo's Client Advisory Council. He also serves on the Real Estate Client Advisory Council and Risk Management Advisory Panel for AIG, and the Client Advisory Council for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
