Since 2015, Chad has led the risk management function at Wolverine Worldwide, Inc., a global marketer and retailer of footwear, apparel, and accessories whose brands include Merrell, Saucony, Wolverine, Hush Puppies, Chaco, and Sweaty Betty. In his current role, he is responsible for Wolverine's risk management strategy, risk transfer programs, Enterprise Risk Management, health & safety, claims resolution, property risk control, and Business Continuity Planning.
Prior to joining Wolverine, Chad held risk management positions of increasing responsibility in multiple Fortune 500 organizations, including the world's largest catering and hospitality services provider, and the world's largest home appliance manufacturer.
Chad has previously served on the RIMS Student Advisory Council and RIMS Technology Advisory Council, and is a past presenter at the RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition. He started his career as a loss control consultant in the employee leasing industry, supporting a broad range of clients in the manufacturing, professional, technology, service, and transportation sectors.
Chad received his Bachelors degree in Safety & Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University. In 2005 he earned the Associate in Risk Management designation. Chad serves on the Advisory Board for the Risk Management and Insurance degree program at Ferris State University, the Supervisory Committee of United Federal Credit Union, the Board of Friends of the East Grand Rapids Library, and previously served in volunteer leadership roles with the Boy Scouts of America and St. Joseph (MI) Baseball Association.
