Deborah Tauro is a Risk Management Professional with 23 years experience in the industry and is the Director of Risk Management for the Diocese of St. Augustine managing all lines of risk for the Catholic Churches and Schools under the Diocese. Her most previous position as Senior Manager for the Risk Management Services department of Regency Centers Corporation provided the ability to evaluate and improve the processes and programs of the department. Regency Centers is a nationwide REIT consisting of ownership/management of approximately 400 shopping centers and 17 offices across the country. Managed the placement of all corporate lines of insurance, including the management of all insurance policies, procedures and oversight of all Loss Mitigation, Loss Control, and Claims management affecting all properties and locations. Deborah's career in Risk Management began in 1998, bringing in expertise in both the Accounting and Analytics fields to the functions of insurance and claims. Her career has had a large focus on the collection, use, and analytics of data in both risk management and safety/compliance areas. Deborah has specialized in the review, implementation, and maintenance of Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) for Regency Centers as well as previous employers such as CSX Insurance Services, a wholly owned Captive of CSX Corporation and Landstar Systems, Inc. Deborah's current projects include the development of executive reporting and total cost of risk analysis utilizing data stored in the RMIS as well as the development of a more robust Loss Control program. Deborah holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and RIMS Fellow (RF) designations. .
