Randy F. Jouben is the Division Chief Risk Management (Risk Manager) for Fairfax County Virginia which is one of the largest municipalities in the United States and is responsible for leading the mission of protecting the tangible and intangible assets of the organization to include the areas of risk management, safety, business continuity and compliance. Randy has a diverse risk management background with over 30 years experience spanning from working for insurance companies such as Prudential and American International Group to consulting and risk management positions in prominent organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia and Five Guys Enterprises, LLC. Randy is also an adjunct professor in risk management at Gallaudet University,
Randy is also involved in several professional organizations and spend a great deal of time speaking and writing on the subject of risk management and business continuity. He is the Immediate past president for Potomac Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) as well as serving on the Societies Member & Chapter Engagement Committee and a Trustee for RiskPac, He is active with Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International where was the Chairman of the Professional Development Committee, Founding President of the Potomac Region Chapter of The Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance as well as an inaugural facility member of CLMs Claims College. Randy is involved in The Spencer Education Foundations Risk Manager in Residence program where he spend several days on a college campus lecturing on risk management as well as talking to students about their future in the industry. In 2018 Randy was awarded the Ron Judd Heart of RIMS Award which recognizes the volunteer contributions of a RIMS Member who serves as a role model keeping the Chapter, and hence the Society, vibrant and resilient and thereby truly exemplifying the "Heart of RIMS."
He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Seton Hall University, Bachelors of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from Excelsior College his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Insurance Management from Brenau University. Randy holds many industry certifications in risk management, business continuity and corporate compliance to include the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Claims (AIC) from the Insurance Institute of America; Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) from DRI International and Business Continuity Institute respectively and the Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) from the International Association of Risk and Compliance Professionals.
