RIMS Responds to Affiliate and Student Members' Needs

As companies are tightening their proverbial belts to survive the current financial crisis, whether it be downsizing or other cost cutting measures, their employees are feeling the effects now more than ever. Here at RIMS, we're making some adjustments, too, to assist our members in continuing their Society membership during these difficult economic times.
RIMS Board of Directors recently waived Society dues for Affiliate members through December 2010, and they've encouraged Chapters to follow suit. Affiliate members' registration fees for the Annual Conference in Orlando has also been waived. Affiliate memebership is available to any Deputy who has been a member within the past two years upon separation from their current place of employment, and is renewable once.
RIMS is also making it easier for students to take advantage of the networking opportunities, career center tools, and other membership benefits by waiving Society dues for student members.
These are just a few of the steps RIMS is taking toward delivering valuable yet affordable benefits while accommodating members hit hardest by economic turmoil.
