Welcome to the RIMSNY Young Risk Practitioners community. As part of RIMSNY, we are an enthusiastic and dynamic community of 200+ young professionals dedicated to the field of risk management and insurance. Our group is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among emerging leaders in the industry. YRPNY turned 10 years old in 2023.

MISSION

YRPNY is the voice of the new and mid-level risk practitioners of NYC. Our mission is to promote leadership in the risk profession for young practitioners. We execute our mission by offering professional development programs, social events, special outreach events, public service, and support to the initiatives of the New York Chapter of RIMS. YRPNY is the clearinghouse for all young risk practitioner activities within the New York Chapter of RIMS.

HOW TO JOIN

To be a YRP, you must be a risk practitioner including risk managers, underwriters, insurance brokers, and claims managers between 21 and 35 years of age working in NYC. Membership of the individual young risk practitioner is not required but at least one corporate membership from the practitioner’s company is required.
