SAS will be hosting the ICOR Auditing BCM Programs for PS-Prep Certification® & ISO 22301 Lead Auditor Training® course March 3-7th at our headquarters in Cary, NC. SAS has arranged for the class to be held in state (so no/minimal travel expense) and secured a discounted class rate (20% for 6+ attendees). If attendees prefer, ICOR will tailor the class to focus primarily on ISO standard content. The SAS class offering is posted on the ICOR web site (see link). Please also see details below. The value of the class is not just for those organizations that might pursue certification this year or down the road. More immediately it will provide you with:
1. The ability to benchmark your own BC program to proactively assess gaps to the ISO and other PS-PREP standards. ICOR is providing in the class materials an ISO 22301 self-assessment tool that can be used for a self-declaration of conformity.
2. With knowledge of the standard/s to more effectively discuss your program and expectations for standards alignment (if not to the standard then improving or incorporating specific components - e.g. management reviews, risk assessment etc.) with internal (e.g. organizational management, IT, critical business functions etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors, customers, suppliers etc.)
3. An opportunity to earn an ANSI accredited certificate as an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor (should this be something you wish to add to your credentials/professional development)
4. With knowledge to more effectively engage with a 3rd party auditor for ISO 22301 certification.
