News from the Board of Directors
The Chapter Board of Directors had their first meeting of the new year on January 8that Ottawa City Hall. A few notes of interest:
•A few new volunteers have expressed an interest in providing assistance and support to the directors who may need to have back-up. This is good news!
•The Chapter By-laws, last revised in 2003, will be updated to coincide with/reflect recent changes in RIMS By-laws. The revised Chapter By-laws will be distributed to the membership in due course.
•The Chapter Christmas lunch raised $305. for the Ottawa Mission. The Chapter matched the donations and $600. was donated to the Ottawa Mission. This support is greatly appreciated by this valuable organization in our community.
•The Chapter newsletter will no longer be distributed through Constant Contact. A Gmail account has been created for this purpose. Members should ensure that RIMS Chapter communications are recognized and not filtered out as Spam, so that they do not miss important news and meeting notices.
•Next Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for March 19, 2014 at noon. If you have any questions or concerns you like discussed at the meeting, please feel free to contact any member of the Board directly.
