Welcome to 2022!
2021 definitely showed us a variety of challenges between new variants of COVID-19, heat waves, devastating fires and floods, as well as cities being cut off or enveloped by mother nature. However we have persevered and showed resilience through these events, with many homes and businesses seeing the need for Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness going forward if it was not in place before.
While we move in to 2022, we begin our celebration of our Chapter’s 60th year amidst returning to a normalcy. As an industry known for social, educational and fundraising events, the importance of networking with our peers and giving back to our communities remains at the forefront of our goals. Please keep an eye out for events, both virtual and hopefully coming back to an in person event or two later in the year including a Diamond Gala for our 60th anniversary in June, all following Provincial Health orders and personal safety guidelines. We will attempt to improve our virtual capabilities to encourage everyone from our Chapter to participate in events as they can.
#stayconnected and #celebrate60 (follow us on twitter and LinkedIn) @BCRIMA1 with the So-Fun Committee and your fellow members.
Without volunteers we would not be able to accomplish our objectives. Please consider getting involved in BCRIMA or offer your suggestions to any of the Board Members;
Thank you for your time and dedication to the BCRIMA Chapter, without everyone pitching in, BCRIMA would not be where we are today. I look forward to what 2022 has in store for our 60th year!
