Greetings RIMS MN Chapter Members and Associates,
We finalized the Chapter’s 2013/14 fiscal year with the Annual General Meeting and a great program on Cyber Risk. To those who attended the AGM, thank you and we trust you enjoyed the program.
We extended a big Thank You to outgoing board members Wendy Hearn, Kendra Hillstrom, and Ann Martin. In addition to their activities on the board they also served in officer and committee positions. We appreciated their service!
We extend special thanks to Kathy Schwiekart who did an excellent job as the Chapter President for the f/y 2013-14. She continues to serve on the MN RIMS Board and will chair the Communications Committee f/y 2014/15.
We have a great start to the Chapter’s 2014/15 fiscal year. We welcome the new incoming board members elected for a 3 year term:
1. Marg Hartung, UnitedHealth Group
2. Sara Paul, Northern Tier Energy LLC
3. Jeff McAlexander, Ameriprise Financial Group
The Board appointed its Officers for the f/y 2014-15:
• President: Audrey Rudberg, Cargill Inc.
• Vice President: Steve Slette, CHS
• Secretary: Jeff McAlexander, Ameriprise Financial Group
• Treasurer: Marg Hartung, UnitedHealth Group
I take this opportunity to present and highlight the MN RIMS email account: MNRIMS@Gmail.com
Chapter Members and Associates can expect future MN RIMS meeting and event invites from this email account. Please make sure your company’s internet security recognizes it as safe and doesn’t force it into junk email! Members and Associates may submit inquiries to this email as well – it will be monitored by the Board.
Further, we announce that MN RIMS has entered into a secretarial services agreement with Essential Business Services, a local provider of administrative services. The Board acknowledges how busy the Members and Associates are with their “day jobs”; we have hired EBS to make it easy for Members and Associates to volunteer for committees – we want your participation on strategy and goals. EBS will be serving the Board and the Membership, Program, Seminar, and Golf committees. EBS will use the MNRIMS@gmail account for future committee and program correspondence – the emails link to the Chapter’s website for meeting registration.
Participation in a committee is a great way to maximize the benefit of your membership with deeper networking and to help the chapter focus on those issues of most interest to you. We will follow-up shortly with an invitation to join one of the vitally important chapter committees.
Best regards
MN RIMS President
Audrey Rudberg
