------------------------------------------ This message has been cross-posted to both the Insurance Services and the Enterprise Risk Management E-Groups. ------------------------------------------ I sure hate to ask a topic that was already asked once, but the search feature is bringing me back "0" hits on insurance cert tracking software. Does anyone have recommendations on a good tracking program that wont blow my budget? Internal Auditors insist that our non-reulated energy companies have one in order to clear their recommendation from the BOD Audit Committee. I have googled the topic and there is a lot of software out there. But I am not uncertain which one meets the criterion. Which is it has to not only track the expiration dates, but also compare to established requirements which will differ from one vendor to the next. And compare the insurance carrier against the AM Best rating. A nice feature woould be a pop-up message on the PC that tells me that a cert will be expiring in 30 days or so. While we are not using Browz (browz.com), they seem to have a very good setup. They charge the vendors to post their insurance information on the Browz website and do not charge the users. The more users there are, the less paperwork the vendor has to do, so it is worth money to them. You can individualize your requirements and the website will let you know if the vendor in question is in compliance. Browz tracks renewals, coverages, etc. It can also include information on OSHA violations, credit ratings, et.al. so it can be much more than insurance certificate tracking. We did not go with the system because we were reluctant to transfer the information to a web based browser and risk losing it if the vendor went out of business. ------------------------------- Cynthia Blank NSTAR Risk Manager -------------------------------
