  • 2026 Meetings for Spokane RIMS Chapter

    Good Afternoon,

    We have decided to postpone the February 12th Spokane meeting and move it to May 14.  The following are the scheduled meeting dates for 2026 that can be placed on your calendars.  Our upcoming RIMS meetings will be held from noon to approximately 1 pm at the Enduris office location of 1610 S Technology Blvd, Suite 100,Spokane, WA 99224.  

    March 11 - Social Event with IIABS at the Spokane Chief’s hockey game

    March 19 - Origami Risk presenting on Leveraging Data & Technology for Proactive Risk Management

    April 16 - Rich Cuff with Marsh

    May 14 - TBD

    Sept 17 - TBD

    Oct 15 - TBD

    In addition, we have planned an upcoming social event that we will be held at the Spokane Chief’s game on March 11th.  Further information will be sent out here shortly for the social event.

  • Spokane RIMS Chapter Meeting - Thursday, October 16th, 2025

    Good Afternoon,

    Please confirm that you will be attending the Spokane RIMS Chapter Meeting on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm.  The meeting will be held at the Enduris Offices Training Facility – Located at: 1610 S. Technology Boulevard, Suite 100 Spokane, WA 99224.

    Trevor Smith, the Managing Director of Lockton’s Global Technology Risk Practice, will be our speaker.

    Title: Understanding the Emergent Risks of Artificial Intelligence

    Overview: In this session we will explore the rapidly evolving landscape of AI technologies and the new categories of risk they introduce across industries and society. Topics include the distinction between conventional and emergent AI risks, ethical and regulatory challenges & changes surrounding autonomy, data integrity, and algorithmic bias, as well as the implications for cybersecurity, privacy, and misinformation. The session also examines the potential for systemic risks arising from large-scale AI deployment, such as dependency vulnerabilities, alongside strategies for risk mitigation and quantification. Case studies will illustrate real-world examples of AI failures, liability exposures, and evolving insurance and risk-management responses, equipping attendees with a framework for identifying, assessing, and addressing AI-related exposures in their own organizations.

    This is Spokane RIMS Annual Chapter meeting and we will be casting votes for next years’ board members.

    Lunch will be catered by High Nooner. ** PLEASE NOTE - Lunch prices are now $25 dollars**
