Rick Roberts served as RIMS Society President for 2015 and has worked in risk management for 35 years. Mr. Roberts has experience in the financial services (Aetna and Cigna), manufacturing (Ensign-Bickford Industries) and real estate industries. Rick directed the enterprise risk management program, risk financing programs, and employee benefits programs for Ensign-Bickford Industries until September 2019. Rick joined Cigna's Enterprise Risk Management team to help develop their corporate ERM program. EBI is a diversified manufacturer of: i) explosive assemblies for aircraft, spacecraft and defense products; and ii) pet food additive products. EBI also does chemical toll manufacturing and real estate management. Mr. Roberts also developed a Strategic Risk Assessment model used to help assess and mitigate risks. Additional responsibilities have included managing the company's medical department, security department and coordinating business resiliency planning for the company. Mr. Roberts is a past president of the Board of Trustees of the Aircraft Builders Council in London (2012 to 2014) where he spearheaded marketing efforts to increase the visibility of the ABC to the aviation marketplace and the number of insureds. He served on this board from 2007 to 2019. He again served as president of RIMS Connecticut Valley chapter for 2020-21 and has participated on various RIMS Committees from 2005 to 2014.
