Victoria has served as the Risk and Benefits Manager for Clean Water Services since 1998. Clean Water Services is a public entity serving the urban areas of Washington County, Oregon through a sanitary and storm water collection and treatment utility, watershed management, restoration and water resource services. At Clean Water Services Victoria manages a comprehensive risk and employee benefits program including safety and loss prevention programs, insured and self-insured programs for property, liability, workers compensation and employee benefits. In addition Victoria works as part of a team in managing employment related compliance including disability accommodations, medical leaves and employment liability risks. Prior to becoming Risk and Benefits manager Victoria spent time as the Districts Loss Prevention Coordinator as well as an industrial Safety Engineer with Tektronix Inc.
Victoria holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation as well as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Victoria is an active member of several professional organizations such as the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the Public Risk and Insurance Management Association (PRIMA) and The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). Victoria gives back to her profession having taught ARM courses, serving on the board for the Oregon Chapter of RIMS for 15 years, and presenting on various risk management, safety, employment liability and benefit topics at various local, regional and national conferences. In 2015 Victoria received the Ron Judd Heart of RIMS Award in recognition of her service to RIMS and the Oregon Chapter.
Victoria also has some perspective on what it is like to be different. After 21 years with the organization Victoria transitioned to become the first transgender employee and through the process has helped her co-workers and many others find an understanding of what diversity and inclusion can mean.
