Steve Wilder is the Senior Vice President-Risk Management for The Walt Disney Company. His department is responsible for directing Disney's worldwide corporate Risk Management program. Before joining The Walt Disney Company, he was Risk Manager from 1982 to 1987 for Whittaker Corporation, a diversified manufacturer with operations in chemicals, marine products, technology, metals and health care. Earlier in his career, Steve also worked in the insurance brokerage industry.He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has completed UCLAs Executive Management Program. In addition, he has an Associate in Risk Management Designation. Currently he is attending Florida State University working towards a Masters in Risk Management.He was named Business Insurance's Risk Manager of the Year in 1990 and is a former National President of the Risk Insurance Management Society. He currently serves as President of the Spencer Educational Foundation. In 2004 he was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance by Treasury and Risk Management magazine.
