Robert Zhang is a senior risk management and insurance executive with extensive global experience across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe. Over a two-decade career, he has built a distinguished track record in enterprise risk management, corporate insurance, and cross-border risk advisory for multinational organizations.
Based in Singapore, Robert is currently the Chief Risk Officer at DT International where he oversees global risk strategy, governance, and organizational resilience across the company’s international operations.
His career began at Willis in 2005 and is credited for establishing the firm’s first Chinese Investment Overseas Practice, leading the expansion of its service network to more than 20 countries.
Robert has led risk management and insurance functions for three Fortune 500 companies, directing programs in risk governance, corporate insurance (including captives), market-entry and investment-risk assessment, supply chain resilience, business continuity, cyber risk, compliance, and crisis management.
Robert maintains an active academic presence. He has been a guest lecturer for ERM courses at Peking University since 2015, a Master’s Program Advisor there since 2021, and a Graduate Advisor at Fudan University since 2023. He also serves as an advisor and guest speaker on emerging and strategic risk topics, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), ESG and sustainable-development risk, supply chain risk management, digital cross-border compliance, and the application of AI in risk and insurance management.
