Bio

Elliott Long is an Enterprise Risk Manager at Aflac, where he focuses primarily on strategic and operational risk management for the Aflac US business. During his time at Aflac, Elliott has co-created and implemented Aflac US’s Strategic Risk Program, which includes a framework designed to evaluate strategic risks holistically across the organization and embed risk into strategic decision-making. Prior to joining Aflac, Elliott was a consultant at Deloitte in its Business Risk practice.

In addition to his current role at Aflac, Elliott represents the United States on ISO's Technical Committee 262 focused on Risk Management, the Institute of Risk Management's ERM in Insurance Special Interest Group, and the RIMS Standards and Practices Council. Elliott also serves on the Board of Directors for the RIMS Atlanta chapter.

Elliott has had the opportunity to speak at several risk management conferences, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, Elliott's work has been published in the Risk Management Magazine and featured on RIMScast.

Elliott received the 2021 RIMS Rising Star Award, which internationally recognizes “an individual that has demonstrated exceptional initiative, volunteerism, professional development, achievement, and leadership potential early in their career.”

In 2021, Elliott was also recognized as a Rising Insurance Star Executives (“RISE”) Award Winner, which recognizes the top rising talent in the insurance industry globally.
