Chapter Members and Friends,
To protect the safety of our members and friends, the Pittsburgh RIMS Chapter has decided to cancel our April meeting. We wish to react promptly and make appropriate decisions related to future chapter activities and as a result, we have also decided to make the unprecedented move to cancel our annual golf outing, scheduled for May 18, 2020 at Treesdale Golf & Country Club.
As risk management professionals we are all well aware of the seriousness of the situation related to COVID-19 and the daily changes in local restrictions, and guidance for social distancing and gatherings of people in large groups. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, particularly with respect to public health and our future programming. We will make decisions and post updates on chapter activities as circumstances evolve and information becomes available.
Additional resources related to COVID-19 may be found at the RIMS website and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC):
We encourage all of our membership and friends to be proactive in following the common sense advice to prevent illness and avoid exposure to the virus, and guidance provided by the CDC. While we take the situation seriously, we remain calm and focused on our role in Risk Management.
Stay safe and healthy!
The Officers and Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of RIMS
