Please join the RIMS-Utah Chapter for its February luncheon featuring Rob Osha of Boart Longyear. Mr. Osha will discuss considerations when entering a new country to conduct business or send travelers to risky environments. Topics will include setting up internal crisis management teams, conducting robust travel risk reviews, where to find information regarding country risk, responding to a crisis, and other related topics.
Rob Osha has 25 years’ experience in Risk Management & Insurance. He currently serves as Director of Internal Audit and Security for Boart Longyear Company, based in South Jordan, Utah. Prior to his current position, Rob was hired by Boart Longyear in 2008 as the Global Director of Risk Management to set up a risk management function after the company went public on the Australian stock exchange. In that role, Rob was responsible for all risk management, ERM, and risk financing programs, as well as creating a security function for the company. Boart Longyear is the world’s largest mineral exploration drilling contractor, with operations in over 40 countries.
Prior to Boart Longyear, Rob was the Director of Risk Management - The Americas for Rolls Royce PLC, located in Reston, Virginia, one of the world’s leading power systems providers, offering power solutions for land, sea and air.
Rob has also held positions as a broker, in loss control, and in claims. Rob holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, as well as an Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) from the Insurance Institute of America.
