Please join us at the first lunch of the season, Thursday, October 13th at 11:30 am. Lunches will be at the Little America again this year. The presenter for this lunch is Tammy Bradly, VP Clinical Product Development, Coventry Workers’ Comp Services. The topic is Telemedicine.
Given the popularity of Face Time and Skype it’s expected that the new Millennials may be the catalyst to push digital interaction with healthcare providers, and this social norm could be coming at the perfect time. Telemedicine, technology which allows health care professionals to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in remote locations, is becoming a much talked about advancement that could help in an era where access to care is of concern. In this session, the speaker will discuss the topic of telemedicine and the impact it could have in the workers’ comp market. In a healthcare reform era, facing physician shortages and other market pressures, the opportunity for providers and patients to discuss and diagnose conditions could have substantial impacts on access to care, cost containment, and improved productivity.
