  • March Chapter Luncheon - School and Workplace Violence

    We hope to see you at the next Utah Chapter RIMS luncheon, Thursday March 12th at Little America beginning at 11:30 a.m. The presenter is Julie C. Garcia, Regional Director for Poms and Associates. The topic is School and Workplace Violence. Businesses and public entities around the world are looking at the benefits of threat assessment, active shooter drills, and crime prevention through environmental design to protect their employees and assets. This session will discuss the processes, evaluation of effectiveness, and level of commitment required for successful programs. Julie brings thirty years’ of experience in Civil Rights and Human Resource Management. She provides training to all levels of management and staff on employment liability exposures and federally mandated civil rights programs. She is nationally recognized for her knowledge of workplace issues, including workplace violence and workplace bullying. Her training specialties include ADA compliance, Identifying Sexual Predators, Title VII compliance, Indicators of School and Workplace Violence, and many other human resource-related issues.
