The Canadian Capital Region membership includes risk and insurance management professionals from a broad range of industries (both public and private sector) across the Eastern Ontario/Canadian Capital Region. 

Our Chapter generally meets once a month, from September through to May, with the exception of either January or February, when we take our winter break.

  • Education News

    ​Upcoming CRM courses being offered at Carleton University, Sprott School of Business.

    CRM01: Risk Management: Principles and Practices on Wednesday Nights from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, September 18 – December 18, 2019.

    CRM02: Risk Assessment and Treatment on Tuesday Nights from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, February 18 – May 12, 2020.

    CRM03: Risk Financing on Tuesday Nights from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, September 10 – December 10, 2019.

    • Fee: $785 per course, HST exempt
    • *If you don’t have a background in basic insurance, statistics, or finance, it is recommended that you take a basic course prior to completing CRM03 Risk Financing*
    • *Note: The CRM courses tend to fill up well in advance of the start date so please register early to secure your spot in each section of the program. Each course within the program is open enrollment and are registered for separately.
  • OTTAWA RIMS SPRING WORKSHOP

    ​The annual workshop will be held either the last week of May or the first week of June.  Stay tuned for more details
  • RIMS CAPITAL CHAPTER ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

    Date: June 12, 2019
    Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. 
    Location: Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), 133 Greenbank Road, Ottawa, Mezzanine Room 
    • AMM starts at 12:00pm (open to registered RIMS Corporate and single members only), and each Director will provide their report to the Board and attending members
    • Pizza lunch will be provided following the AMM
    • RRSP required, please email ingeborg1472@gmail.com
