Kara Wordell, Director of Risk Management at Iron Mountain
Kara has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and risk industry, having served in several roles focused on claims and risk management. In her current role as Director, Risk Management at Iron Mountain Kara and her global team are responsible for the strategic placement of insurance in 60+ countries of operations. Kara frequently consults on a broad spectrum of risk management issues, including contract language, acquisition diligence, risk prevention, and claims management.
Kara has served as a Director of Massachusetts RIMS since 2008 and is currently the President of MRIMS. She is also a member of several carrier client advisory boards.
Kara holds her ARM, a Communications degree from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Boston College. She lives in Newton with her husband and four children; together they spend time engaging in family sports, boating and time on the Cape.
