Professional Membership
Your company is eligible to become an Professional Member of RIMS and you and a colleague (also an employee with risk responsibilities) will be your company’s individual members (we refer to you as a Professional member). Both your memberships are included in the $690 annual Society dues. The membership belongs to the organization, not the individual.
$690 - RIMS Society Dues - Organizational Membership (includes up to two members).
$250 - For each member after two. Organizational Membership.
$370 - A full-time professional with risk management responsibilities exclusively for one organization. Individual Membership.
$50 - Greater Iowa RIMS Chapter dues for each Professional member joining RIMS.

Associate Membership
A provider of products or services to those in the risk management profession. For example, you are a broker, underwriter, consultant, attorney, accountant, and actuary or outsourced risk manager.
$660 - RIMS Society membership dues.
$150 - Greater Iowa RIMS Chapter dues.

Student Membership
A full-term undergraduate or graduate student working towards a degree in risk management, insurance, or business. A student membership must not be otherwise employed in a role that would qualify them for any other membership category.
Student chapter membership is free.
Applicants will need to submit a transcript within 2 business days to membershipdept@rims.org to activate membership.

Educational Membership
A full-time professor or dean in a program providing risk management, insurance, or business education.
$125 - RIMS membership dues.
$50 - chapter membership dues.
All new educational members will be asked to submit an updated CV to membershipdept@rims.org to confirm their status as an educator.

Retired Membership
A professional or associate member of RIMS immediately prior to your full retirement. Contact the RIMS Membership department to inquire.

Transitional Membership
Available to professional or associate members of RIMS upon their separation from their current place of employment. Transitional membership is renewable once, or a maximum of 2 years from the date of separation. Contact the RIMS Membership department to inquire.

Rising Risk Professional (RRP) Membership
The Rising Risk Professional membership is for risk professionals under the age of 30.
